Summer update

Well summer is has come and gone and boy this has been one of the best summers out here yet, in all the years we have lived out here. There were only two days that I can recall that were super hot, the rest were really nice and just pleasant.

The weather has finally cooled down to a steady in the 70's maybe low 80's on a rare day still, but you can tell that winter will be here before to long, with the cold mornings! i am looking foward to fall I love that time of year the colors of the leaves changing, it's so beautiful.

School has started up for the school aged kids here in MO back in mid August, Cole tells me he doesn't go to daycare now, he goes to school, but that Hayden goes to daycare because he is to little to go to school.

I have three semesters left after the one I am currently in and I will be done with my bachelors!! thank goodness!! My GI Bill has run out so I now am counting on financial aid and some student loans to finish what I got left, because I know if I stop I just wont go back to finish, and I am to close and have worked to hard to get it.

I have switched my degree from Elementary Education to Pyschology, only because there is no way I would ever be able to complete 12 wks of student teaching. they do not pay you for that and there would never be a way for me to save that much time off. But in the state of MO you can get a bachelors in pretty much anything and then just get certified to teach which is what I will do, although now I don't know if I will go teach, with me getting this promotion and if it turns out the way I hope and becomes permanant then I will be looking good for retirement with the federal service and I could just substitute on the side.

Adam still hasn't gotten a full time job, but has started back up with school himself, and we have gotten it worked out with the daycare now that we only pay for the days the boys go so that is good. He does work now and then for his old boss doing some landscaping on the side. He has stopped drinking for those of you and is doing great! I make it a point to tell him everyday how thankful we are and how proud of him we are for making the decision to become a better person. I know it is not easy for him, but he is the old Adam, not this mad and never wanting to do anything person that he had become.

I finally got the boys on a routine again with bedtime they know 8pm we brush teeth, and wash faces, and then go into their room for prayers, story time, hugs n kisses and then it is bedtime! And let me tell you it is so nice to have them on a bedtime again! We have that downtime in the evenings just Adam and me.

I have been running quite a bit and have done a 10K, and a 5K so far, I have 3 more 5Ks to do before the year is over, that I signed up for. I think it is so cute that Cole wants to work out with me, because he wants big muscles when he grows up! :)

Speaking of Cole he has three best friends, Daven, Caden Tool and Madison. I think that is just so adorable my three (almost four year old, sniff sniff) has best friends!! And to think they will go to school together too.

Hayden tags right along with Cole and does everything his big brother does, and I mean everything! :) They play so good together and don't fight to much, but when they do the fists are a flying let me tell you! :)

Well I think that is all for now with an update from us, nothing really exciting.
